Abstract

Background and Objective: In today’s world, marked by increasing complexities and daily life pressures, the importance of spiritual health as a key dimension of overall human well-being has become more prominent. Religious beliefs form the foundation of spiritual life; without sound convictions, human actions lack direction and purpose. This article aims to explore the belief-based dimensions of spiritual health from a Quranic perspective and offer solutions for enhancing both individual and communal spiritual well-being based on these teachings.

Methods: This study employs a library-based method, relying on the Quran and Islamic sources, and uses a descriptive-analytical approach to examine and interpret the gathered data. The author reported no conflict of interests in this study.

Results: According to Quranic teachings, the core beliefs that significantly impact spiritual health include:

- Belief in monotheism (tawhid): It provides purpose and meaning to life, fosters inner peace, liberates individuals from subjugation to non-divine entities, and contributes to a cohesive spiritual identity;

- Belief in resurrection (ma‘ad): It strengthens spiritual security, offers comfort during hardship, and encourages ethical and responsible living;

- Belief in prophethood (nubuwwah): It places humans on the path of divine guidance and promotes spiritual growth through emulation of prophetic examples;

- Belief in divine justice (adl-e ilahi): It instills peace and trust, reinforces hope and motivation, and enhances resilience in the face of life’s difficulties.

Conclusion: Religious beliefs play a vital role in promoting spiritual health, empowering individuals to live meaningful, purposeful, and fulfilling lives. These beliefs establish a deep and holistic worldview that fosters hope and tranquility amid adversity while strengthening spiritual resilience. In light of today’s widespread spiritual crises, paying attention to the Quran’s belief system offers an effective and transformative path toward achieving spiritual well-being.
