According to the increasing interdisciplinary researches in the field of religion and health, ethics, law and medical jurisprudence, attention of the World Health Organization to spiritual health, also unique capability of Quran and Sunnah to offer strategies for health promotion particularly spiritual health in all its aspects, appropriate context for realization of software movement and generation of applied knowledge and finally limited number of specialized interdisciplinary journals in the field of religion and health, the need was formed to create specialized-scientific publications in the field of religion and health so that the necessary conditions are provided to publish the results of researches mentioned above and extension of these emerging researches will be facilitated.
In this regard, the Journal of Pizhūhish dar dīn va salāmat with accreditation from the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education with number: 93/5170 from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences is published quarterly in Persian.
This journal publishes original articles and reviews which in addition to the original text in Persian have English and Arabic abstract as well and covers the areas related to the religion and health fields including physical, psychological, social, spiritual health, medical ethics, medical law, Islamic-Iranian medicine and related matters containing new results and achievements).

-Providing scientific-research achievements in the field of interdisciplinary studies on religion and health, medical ethics, medical law, medical jurisprudence and Iranian-Islamic medicine.
-Utilization of concepts and teachings of Quran and Sunnah in order to promote the spiritual health of society by carrying out scientific researches.
-Contribute to the production of applied sciences in the field of health (physical, psychological, social and spiritual health), medical ethics, professional ethics and medical law by benefiting from the teachings of Islam.
-Contribute to promote researches and interdisciplinary studies in the field of religion and health.
-Motivating and enabling environment for the establishment of scientific and religious transactions among scientists and researchers in the field of religion and health.
