International Journal of Medical Toxicology and Forensic Medicine


International Journal of Medical Toxicology and Forensic Medicine (IJMTFM) is aimed to promote scientific communication among medical investigators worldwide. 

IJMTFM, which benefits from an international editorial board, is published Quarterly by Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.

Contents include peer-reviewed research papers covering different aspects of clinical toxicology and forensic medicine.

IJMTFM is adhering to ICMJE and COPE recommendations. This Journal accepts Original Papers, Review Articles, Systematic Review Articles, Case Reports, Short Communications, Continous Medical Education and Letters to the Editor.

After an initial screening, all submissions will be refereed by three reviewers during maximum two weeks according to specific research reporting guidelines for different study designs; include CONSORT for randomized trials, STROBE for observational studies, PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses. All authors should send their revised manuscripts within 2 weeks. Reviewers' and authors' identities are kept confidential. The existence of a submitted manuscript is not revealed to anyone other than the reviewers and editorial staff.

Processing/ Publishing Charges: IJMTFM is an Open Access journal accessible for free on the Internet. We guarantee that no university library or individual reader will ever have to buy a subscription or pay any pay-per-view fees to access articles in the electronic version of the journal. As well as, processing of a paper has no charge. Publishing of an Original article or a Review article or a Systematic Review paper has 170 USD charges. Publishing of a Short Communication or a Continous Medical Education or a Case Report or a Letter to the Editor paper has 85 USD charges. If any author request a hard copy of every issue of IJMTFM, must pay 200 USD.
