The scientific and research journal of “Behdasht dar Arseh, i.e., Health in the Field” welcomes articles that have previously been published as pre-prints on reputable servers, with the aim of accelerating the sharing of research findings and supporting scientific transparency.
Terms and Conditions for Submitting Pre-print Articles
Pre-print publication does not preclude submission to the journal. Authors may, if they wish, deposit a version of their article on reputable pre-print servers (such as arXiv, medRxiv, bioRxiv, SSRN, or Research Square) prior to submission to the journal. This action does not in any way constitute formal publication of the article and does not hinder the peer-review and acceptance process in the journal.
Commitment to originality and no simultaneous submission: Pre-print publication does not conflict with the policies of the scientific and research journal of “Behdasht dar Arseh, i.e., Health in the Field” provided that the article has not been simultaneously submitted to another journal. However, authors are required to confirm at the time of manuscript submission that the work is not under concurrent consideration by any other publication.
Disclosure requirement: Authors must explicitly declare in the cover letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief on which server the pre-print version of this article has been posted, along with its link and DOI. This information should also be mentioned as a footnote at the end of the manuscript.
Updating the submitted version relative to the pre-print: The version of the article submitted to the journal must reflect the most recent findings and analyses of the research. If any changes have been made to the data, analyses, or writing of the article after the pre-print was posted, these changes must be incorporated into the version submitted to the journal.
Note: The submitted version must not differ substantially from the pre-print in terms of its main conclusions or scientific message; otherwise, it will not be considered a duplicate or new submission, and the review process may encounter complications.
Guarantee of originality and avoidance of plagiarism: Pre-print publication does not exempt authors from their full responsibility regarding the originality of the content, the accuracy of the data, and adherence to publication ethics. All manuscripts, including those with pre-prints, will be screened using similarity-checking tools prior to entering the peer-review process.
Copyright: Authors should be aware that if they transfer copyright to the journal, pre-print servers may impose restrictions on retaining the initial version. Therefore, it is recommended that authors review the policies of the pre-print server regarding the possibility of updating or withdrawing the version prior to submitting to the journal.
