Abstract
Background and Aim: hypocrisy, as an immoral act, is a broad category whose history goes back to the history of the formation of human relations and social masses, and from the past until now, it has been a common issue among humans and deserves a specialized look. Hypocrisy can be in two forms, permanent or momentary, and it can occur in all jobs. One of the consequences of unethical leadership styles is organizational hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is a kind of lie based on which a person wants to justify himself to others. The aim of the current research was to investigate hypocrisy among teachers and analyze solutions in the school environment from the perspective of the teachers themselves.
Method: In the present research, the critical paradigm, qualitative approach, content analysis strategy and hidden content analysis tactics were used in the form of text. The field of research included the teachers of Kurdistan province with a focus on Sanandaj city, who were selected by the purposeful sampling method with the criteria of "being an elementary school teacher" and "having experience with the concept of hypocrisy in the workplace". The research tool was a semi-structured interview made by the researcher, which was conducted with forty-two teachers (20 women and 22 men) with the criterion of saturation of answers. The data analysis method was open and axial coding.
Ethical Considerations: The adherence of the researchers to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki has been considered throughout the research period.
Results: Findings in four themes and each theme in several categories and concepts that were categorized in four stages: definition and meaning of hypocrisy, examples of hypocrisy in teachers, causes of hypocrisy among teachers and solutions to reduce hypocrisy among teachers.
Conclusion: The phenomenon of hypocrisy, first: it does not exist among all teachers. Secondly: In the teaching class, it is less compared to other jobs. Thirdly: This depends on the individual, the society and the type of education; That is, it is completely relative. Fourth: hypocrisy in school may be due to its prevalence in society.
