Abstract
Background and Aim: Spirituality in the workplace is one of the most important business and management trends in the twenty-first century, which has been seriously discussed since the mid-nineties. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate the impact of spirituality in working with organizational entrepreneurship with the mediating role of professional ethics of primary teachers in education in the fifth district of Tabriz.
Methods: The method of this research is a descriptive correlation based on structural equation modeling. The statistical population of this study included all primary education teachers in the fifth district of Tabriz, 485 teachers. The sample size was 215 using stratified random sampling method and according to Krejcie and Morgan table. To collect research data, standard questionnaires of spirituality in the workplace of Milliman et al. (2003), Organizational entrepreneurship of Covin & Slevin (1991) and Professional ethics of Moghimi and Ramadan (2013) were used. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to evaluate the validity of the questionnaires and Cronbach's alpha was used to assess the reliability of the questionnaires. The calculated coefficients are 0.94, 0.80 and 0.87, respectively. The obtained data were analyzed using structural equation method and SPSS 24 and LISREL 8.8 software.
Ethical Considerations: The objectives of the research and the confidentiality of information were explained to the participants and their informed consent was obtained.
Results: The research results showed that there is no direct and significant relationship between spirituality at work and organizational entrepreneurship (β=0.19). There is a positive and significant relationship between the variables of professional ethics and organizational entrepreneurship (β=0.71). At the same time, there is a positive and significant relationship between professional ethics and spirituality at work (β=0.39). In addition, the mediating role of teachers' professional ethics in the relationship between spirituality and entrepreneurship was confirmed in the model. Confirming the mediating role of professional ethics, spirituality has an indirect, positive and significant effect on entrepreneurship with a coefficient (β=0.28).
Conclusion: Paying attention to spirituality in work and professional ethics promotes organizational entrepreneurship among teachers. Therefore, in order to improve the state of organizational entrepreneurship, it is recommended to education managers to increase the level of these variables in teachers through planning, so that the performance of teachers and the organization can be improved.
