پزشکان یهودی همدان و نقش آنان در توسعه پزشکی این شهر (از اواخر قاجاریه تا پایان دوره پهلوی)

چکیده
زمینه و هدف: حرفه پزشکی در همدان از دیرباز عمدتاٌ در قبضه یهودیان بوده است و آنان بودند که در این علم به تبحر دست یافته و توانستند در کنار مسلمین نقش ویژهای را در عرصه پزشکی این شهر ایفا کنند. با توجه به محدودیتهای اقلیتهای مذهبی در جامعه اسلامی، به نظر میرسد روی آوری یهودیان به حرفه پزشکی راهحلی برای برونرفت از شرایط موجود و ارتقای جایگاه آنان با هدف رفع نیاز جامعه اسلامی و عاملی برای کسب درآمد بوده است. پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی علل اقبال یهودیان همدان به حرفه پزشکی و نقش آنان در توسعه پزشکی این دیار از اواخر قاجار تا پایان دوران پهلوی به فرجام رسیده است. با عنایت به اینکه تاکنون در این زمینه تحقیق مستقلی صورت نگرفته پژوهش حاضر میتواند راهگشای محققین تاریخ پزشکی در پاسخ به مجهولات ذهنی در این باب باشد.
مواد و روشها: این پژوهش با نگرشی تاریخی و به یاری منابع کتابخانهای و تاریخ شفاهی؛ سعی بر این دارد تا با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی دلایل رویآوری یهودیان همدان به حرفه پزشکی و نقش آنان در توسعه اوضاع پزشکی این شهر را بیان کند. این مطالعه مقطعی، اواخر حکومت قاجاریه تا پایان حکمرانی دودمان پهلوی دوم در همدان را شامل میگردد. از ویژگیهای این مقاله استناد به مصاحبه شفاهی با افراد آگاه در این زمینه است.
یافتهها: بررسیها نشان میدهد دانش پزشکی در میان یهودیان به ویژه یهودیان همدان از جایگاه والایی برخوردار بوده است، به گونهای که آنان از گذشتههای دور در محلی به نام درب حکیمخانه به این پیشه اشتغال داشته و آن را به نسلهای بعدی نیز انتقال دادهاند.
نتیجهگیری: نتایج پژوهش حکایت از آن دارد که سفارشات تورات مبنی بر حفظ سلامت بدن در انتخاب حرفه پزشکی توسط یهودیان همدان بیتأثیر نبوده است. آنان به فراخور همزیستی با مسلمانان، با انتخاب پیشه پزشکی درصدد در امان ماندن از هرگونه گزند و ارتقای جایگاه اجتماعی خود در بین مسلمین بوده اند. یهودیان همدان با تأسیس مدرسه آلیانس و درمانگاه مجاور آن گام بلندی در بهبود اوضاع پزشکی زمانه خود در همدان برداشتهاند. آنان در واقع واسطهای برای گذار از شیوه سنتی طب به پزشکی مدرن و پایهگذار شیوه نوین پزشکی در همدان بودهاند چرا که نخستین تحصیلکنندگان آکادمیک در عرصه پزشکی همدان اغلب یهودیان بودهاند.
