Given the growing significance and application of artificial intelligence technologies in research and scholarly output, authors must transparently disclose the use of such tools with sufficient detail—including the specific tool, version, and prompts or instructions employed—while adhering to the following ethical guidelines:
Authorship: Artificial intelligence and AI-assisted technologies cannot be credited as an author or co-author on any manuscript.
Disclosure of Use: Authors are required to clearly state the use of AI in their work and explicitly describe its role in both the research process and manuscript preparation. For instance, if AI was used as an editorial or writing aid, it must be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgments" section; if it was utilized for tasks such as data collection, statistical analysis, or data visualization, this methodology must be specified in the "Methods" section.
Accuracy and Integrity: Authors are required to rigorously review and edit all AI-generated outputs. Despite their advanced capabilities, AI tools can generate incomplete, biased, or fabricated content. Authors retain full and ultimate responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of the submitted work.
Submission Requirements: The use of AI must be explicitly disclosed both in the cover letter and within the submitted manuscript.
