Transparency in Research
Authors are required to make their data publicly available to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and validation of findings. Datasets should be deposited in a publicly accessible repository wherever possible. Any restrictions on data sharing, such as confidentiality or legal constraints, must be clearly disclosed.

Data Availability Statement
Each submission must include a Data Availability Statement outlining where and how the underlying data can be accessed, including any conditions for access. If data cannot be shared, authors must provide a detailed explanation in the statement.

Use of Reporting Guidelines
To promote transparency and reproducibility, authors are encouraged to use reporting guidelines specific to their study design, such as CONSORT for clinical trials, PRISMA for systematic reviews, or STROBE for observational studies. Adherence to these guidelines ensures that studies are reported in a consistent and comprehensive manner.

Registration of Studies
For clinical trials and other predefined study designs, registration in a public trial registry (such as irct.behdasht.gov.ir for Iranian clinical trials) is required. The registration number should be included in the manuscript. Registration of observational studies is also encouraged to promote research integrity and avoid selective reporting.

Reproducibility and Methodology
Authors should provide sufficient detail about the methodologies and analytical tools used in their research to enable other researchers to replicate their work. This includes specifying software versions, equipment, reagents, and any other pertinent details critical to the reproducibility of the results.

Ethical Considerations
All research involving human participants or animals must comply with the ethical guidelines in the field and be approved by the relevant ethics committees. Authors must ensure that studies are conducted in accordance with recognized ethical standards and disclose this in the manuscript.

Data Repositories

To assist authors in meeting data sharing requirements, we recommend using one of the following publicly accessible repositories:

  • Zenodo (https://zenodo.org) – A general-purpose repository for sharing all types of research outputs.
  • Figshare (https://figshare.com) – A repository for storing datasets, figures, and supplementary materials.
  • Dryad (https://datadryad.org) – A repository specifically for datasets related to published articles.
  • Open Science Framework (OSF) (https://osf.io) – A platform for managing and sharing research projects and data.
  • Institutional Repositories – Authors are also encouraged to use their affiliated institution’s data repository, if available.

Authors should ensure that their datasets are assigned a DOI or permanent identifier for ease of citation and retrieval.
