Abstract
Background: Identifying the underlying factors contributing to the marriage survivals of childless divorced women can help increase possibility of childbearing and consequently raise of fertility rates. The aim of the present study is to investigate the factors influencing First Marriages Survival (FMS).
Methods: In this study, FMS of 469 divorced childless women through a secondary data analysis of a cross-sectional divorce survey conducted by the National Organization for Civil Registration in 2017-2018, were analyzed. Through, selecting the most significant determinants of FMS by non-parametric random survival forest (RSF), the ideterminants of FMS were identified using unshared frailty parametric survival models, utilizing Stata and R software.
Results: Adopting policies aimed at providing employment opportunities with higher job security for educated women, reducing the marriage age, and focusing on emotional divorce to enhance the stability of marriages among childless women is essential.
Conclusion: Adopting policies aimed at providing employment opportunities with higher job security for educated women, reducing the marriage age, and focusing on emotional divorce to enhance the stability of marriages among childless women is essential.
