Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies (such as large language models, e.g., ChatGPT) in manuscript preparation must be transparent and accountable.

  • Permitted Use: AI tools may be used for improving language, grammar, and readability, or for literature searching, provided this use is disclosed.

  • Prohibited Use: AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors, as they cannot take responsibility for the work's content, integrity, or originality. AI tools cannot be used to generate or interpret data, draw scientific conclusions, or replace the essential intellectual contributions of human authors.

  • Disclosure: Any use of AI in manuscript preparation must be clearly described in the Acknowledgments or a dedicated "Use of AI" section. Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and validity of all content, including that produced with AI assistance.
