CTTR supports responsible and transparent use of artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies in scholarly work.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. Human authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and content of their manuscripts.

Substantive use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies in manuscript preparation, data analysis, image generation, or other scientific work should be transparently disclosed, including the tool used and its purpose. Routine use for spelling, grammar, or basic language improvement generally does not require detailed disclosure when substantive scientific content is not generated or altered.

Authors must verify AI-assisted content, references, data, and interpretations. AI must not be used to fabricate or deceptively manipulate scientific information.

Editors and reviewers must protect manuscript confidentiality and should not upload unpublished or confidential submission material to publicly accessible AI systems in ways that could compromise confidentiality or intellectual property.
