لقد اعتُبر الإقتصاد المقاوم في السنوات الأخيرة (وعلى محمل الجد في السنتين الأخيرة) نموذجاً جيداً للتخلص من التحديات العامة للبلاد، علما بأنه يمكن اعتبار سنة ٢٠٠٨ التي سميت ب"تعديل أنماط الاستهلاك"، (سنة ابتدأت فيها هذه الحركة الاقتصادية)
