Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences serves as the publisher of AACC.

The publisher provides the institutional framework within which the journal operates and may support administrative, scholarly publishing, technical, and infrastructure-related activities. The publisher does not determine editorial decisions on individual manuscripts.

Treata Scholars serves as the co-publisher of AACC. The co-publisher supports scholarly publishing activities that may include publication infrastructure, production, metadata management, digital dissemination, discoverability, and related technical services. These publishing functions remain separate from academic decisions regarding individual manuscripts.

The Editor-in-Chief is Reza Vafaee. The Editor-in-Chief has overall academic responsibility for the scientific direction, editorial standards, and integrity of the journal. The Editor-in-Chief oversees implementation of editorial policies, coordinates the journal's academic editorial structure, and retains ultimate responsibility for ensuring that editorial decisions are made independently and consistently. Editorial responsibilities may be delegated to qualified academic editors when appropriate.

AACC maintains a clear separation between editorial decision-making and institutional, financial, commercial, or publishing interests. Decisions to send a manuscript for review, request revision, accept, or reject a submission are made on academic and scientific grounds. The publisher, co-publisher, sponsoring bodies, advertisers, service providers, and other external parties do not have authority to require the acceptance or rejection of an individual manuscript.

Editorial decisions are based on considerations such as scientific validity, methodological quality, ethical integrity, relevance to the journal's scope, reporting transparency, originality, and scholarly contribution. An author's institutional affiliation, geographic location, professional seniority, financial circumstances, or relationship with the journal does not determine the editorial outcome.

The Editorial Board supports the scientific development and academic operation of AACC. Members are selected on the basis of relevant scholarly, clinical, methodological, or editorial expertise and contribute to subject areas within the scope of the journal.

AACC maintains an Editorial Board whose expertise and geographic representation are appropriate to the breadth and international scope of the journal. Editorial Board members may advise on scientific direction, support manuscript handling and peer review, recommend qualified reviewers, and contribute to the development of journal policies and standards. Board membership does not provide preferential treatment in publication decisions.

Editorial Board membership is reviewed periodically so that member information remains current and the composition of the Board remains appropriate to the journal's scope and publication activity. Current membership is available on the Editorial Team page.

AACC applies conflict-of-interest disclosure and recusal requirements to editors and Editorial Board members. An editor does not make decisions on a manuscript when a relevant financial, professional, academic, institutional, or personal conflict of interest prevents independent assessment. In such cases, responsibility for the manuscript is transferred to another qualified editor without the relevant conflict.

The same principle applies to manuscripts authored by the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, journal staff, or individuals with a close professional relationship to the journal. No editor participates in the editorial decision on their own manuscript. Detailed requirements are described in the journal's Editorial and Publication Policies.

The Editorial Office coordinates the administrative operation of the journal. Its functions may include manuscript administration, communication with authors and reviewers, technical screening, maintenance of editorial records, production coordination, metadata preparation, and communication between the editorial and publishing teams. Administrative and production personnel do not replace academic editors in scientific decision-making.

Special issues, thematic collections, and supplements remain under the overall editorial oversight of AACC. Guest Editors, when appointed, are selected on the basis of relevant expertise and are subject to the same requirements for confidentiality, editorial independence, and competing interests as other journal editors. Guest Editors do not make decisions on manuscripts where a relevant conflict of interest exists.

Financial or institutional support for a special issue or supplement, where applicable, will be disclosed. Sponsors do not control reviewer selection, manuscript acceptance, editorial conclusions, or publication of unfavorable findings. The Editor-in-Chief retains overall responsibility for the scientific and editorial standards of all content published under the AACC title.

AACC distinguishes the responsibilities of the publisher, co-publisher, Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board, and Editorial Office and maintains public information concerning its editorial structure, publishing arrangements, peer-review model, open-access status, author charges, licensing, policies, contact information, discoverability, and preservation arrangements.

Information published on the journal website is maintained to reflect the journal's actual practices. AACC does not claim organizational memberships, indexing coverage, metrics, or publishing services that cannot be verified. Material changes affecting the publisher, co-publisher, Editor-in-Chief, editorial structure, access model, or publishing arrangements are disclosed transparently.
