Journal Overview

About the Journal

Clinical neuroscience research across neurological disease, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, imaging, neurophysiology, rehabilitation, and translational science.

Journal Focus

Journal of Neuroscience Reports

Journal of Neuroscience Reports is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal focused primarily on clinical neuroscience and research concerning the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, prevention, and clinical understanding of neurological and related disorders.

The journal provides a multidisciplinary forum for neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroscientists, neuroimaging researchers, neurophysiologists, rehabilitation specialists, clinical researchers, epidemiologists, and other professionals involved in neurological research and patient care.

Priority is given to human research addressing clinically meaningful questions in neurological health and disease, including observational studies, clinical trials, diagnostic and prognostic research, neuroimaging, clinical neurophysiology, outcomes research, rehabilitation, and evidence synthesis.

Translational studies and selected basic neuroscience research are also considered when they have a clear connection to human nervous-system function, neurological disease, disease mechanisms, therapeutic development, biomarkers, or potential clinical application.

The journal considers positive, negative, neutral, confirmatory, and replication findings when the research question is scientifically or clinically relevant and the study is methodologically appropriate and transparently reported. Editorial decisions are not based solely on statistical significance.
