Gastroenterology and Hepatology from Bed to Bench

The "Gastroenterology and Hepatology From Bed to Bench (GHFBB)" is an open-access, quarterly, multidisciplinary medical journal published by the Research Institute for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases (RIGLD), affiliated with Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports, editorials, letters to the editor, and brief reports covering various disciplines of gastroenterology and hepatology, from clinical research to basic science studies.

The Editors, with the support of the Editorial Executive Committee, are committed to conducting the peer-review process efficiently, fairly, and transparently. Accepted manuscripts are published online and are freely accessible to readers.

Gastroenterology and Hepatology From Bed to Bench is approved by the Iranian Medical Journal Commission, Deputy of Research and Technology, Ministry of Health and Medical Education, Iran.

GHFBB is indexed in PMC (PubMed Central), Scopus, Elsevier products, EMBASE, EBSCO, Index Medicus for the Eastern Mediterranean Region (IMEMR), ISC, Index Copernicus, Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International (CABI), Scientific Information Database (SID), Magiran, and other databases. Applications for inclusion in additional indexing services are currently in progress.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

Notice: In accordance with a new policy introduced by the journal administration, and with the aim of improving the quality and scope of services, and expediting the peer‑review process and issuance of final decisions, effective January 1, 2026, corresponding authors will be required to pay the Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.

The APC is payable only upon acceptance of an article and covers expenses associated with article processing, technical infrastructure, operational costs, and other publication-related services.
