نگرشی متفاوت به مفهوم برص در طب سنتی ایران

زمینه و هدف: برص اصطلاحی پزشکی و قدیمی است که امروزه از آن به تعابیر مختلفی یاد می‌شود. گروهی آن را پیسی، بعضی لک و پیس و برخی دیگر ویتیلیگو می‌دانند. تعریف صحیح این واژه، ردّ شبهات وارده بر مفهوم آن و مقایسه یافته‌های حاصل از مرور منابع طب سنتی و طب رایج در این موضوع، از مهم‌ترین اهداف این تحقیق می‌باشد.

مواد و روش‌ها: در این کنکاش علمی سعی شده است که علاوه بر بازنگری تحلیلی و ادبی به برص، این مفهوم در طب سنتی ایران و طب رایج مورد بررسی، مقایسه و تحلیل قرار گیرد.

یافته‌ها: بر اساس منابع طب سنتی ایران، برص بیماری پوستی مزمنی است که در برخی موارد، تا عمق بدن نیز نفوذ می‌کند و با خارش و سوزش دردناک همراه است و به دلیل عوارض ظاهری، باعث دوری شخص از اجتماع می‌شود.

نتیجه‌گیری: مفهوم برص تنها معادل لکه‌های سفید صِرف و یا ویتیلیگوی امروزی نیست.
