دستکاری مولکولار طول عمر بشر و چالشهای اخلاقی آن

چکیده
مقدمه: با مشاهده اثر سیستم تلومر- تلومراز در افزایش طول عمر سلولها و در مدلهای آزمایشگاهی این فرضیه مطرح شده است که شاید با استفاده از این سیستم، از پیر شدن سلولها جلوگیری و به تبع آن افزایش طول عمر را محقق کرد اما این موضوع بسیار پیچیدهای را به دنبال میآورد.
مواد و روشها: تغییر در الگوی وقوع پيري و به تبع آن مرگ، تغيير هرم جمعيتي را به دنبال آورده، ضرورت سيستم سازي خاصي را در بودجههاي بهداشتي، تخصيص امكانات، پرورش نيروي انساني، ارائه خدمات و مراقبتها و ...ايجاب نموده و بروز پيري در افراد جامعه در صورت عدم وقوع مرگ بدنبال آن، تبعات وسيعي را در پي دارد و كل نظام اجتماعي، اقتصادي و ارزشي حامعه را به صورت وسيع تحت تأثير خود قرار ميدهد.
یافتهها: وقوع پيري و به دنبال آن وقوع مرگ، نقش تعيين كنندهای در زندگی و در تنظيم روابط اجتماعي به معناي اعم آن توزيع منابع قدرت و ثروت اجتماعي ايفا كرده است. بنابراين افزایش غیرمعمول طول عمر، مجموع روابط اجتماعي را به چارچوبهاي جديد و ناشناختهای منتقل مينمايد.
نتيجهگيري: اکنون تواناييهاي ويژهاي در دانش پزشكي و علوم پيراموني آن براي افزايش طول عمر وجود دارد اما نگرانیهای هزار تو و چند لایهای نیز در مورد مسایل مابعد افزایش معنی دار طول عمر مثلاً تبدیل گروه برخوردار از طول عمرهاي بيشتر به يك نوع خاص و احياناً برجسته و مافوق انسان مطرح میکند.
