Publication Frequency

The Journal of Lasers in Medical Sciences (JLMS) is published quarterly by: Laser Application in Medical Sciences Research Center, during the first month of the four seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter): March, June, September and December.

However, being also an Online Journal, it allows for publication of articles of urgency and critical importance to the medical fraternity. Such articles of 'Current Interest' and relevant editorials may be published more frequently as 'Supplements', on the basis of the needs felt by the editorial board or on the requests/ suggestions of the readers of JLMS.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Such access is associated with increased readership and citation levels. The journal uses open source software, developed by the Public Knowledge Project, to help make open access economically viable, as well as to improve the scholarly and public quality of research.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
