"JLMS" is an international, Open Access, peer-reviewed, and scientific Continuous* publication of the Laser Application in Medical Sciences Research Center, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. This journal received a scientific and research rank from the national medical publication committee. This journal accepts original papers, review articles, case reports, brief reports, case series, photo essays, letters to the editor, and commentaries in the field of laser or light in any field of medicine such as the following medical specialties:
*JLMS was a quarterly publication from 2010 to 2020. We changed the type of publication to Continuously from 2021 and publish a volume continuously (one volume) each year. Also, the print publication type publishes at the end of each year.
Since making research freely available supports a greater global exchange of knowledge, "JLMS" provides immediate open access to its content by receiving an Article Processing Charge from the author(s). These fees are used for maintaining a publication infrastructure, managing the journal, and processing the manuscripts (copyediting, layout editing, XML generation, etc.).
This journal utilizes the PMC (PubMed Central) system to distribute the archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
All accepted articles will be published continuously from the beginning of 2021 to increase their visibility and possibility of citation. Compared to the conventional periodical publication format, in continuous publication, articles will receive a page number and are published continuously immediately after acceptance and proofreading. Therefore, the time interval between acceptance and publication is eliminated.
