The  manuscript  should  include:  Title  page,  the

Abstract, Introduction, Material & Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgment and References.

Title Page: The title should be brief and meaningful. Following the title, there be a listing of first and last names of all authors, along with highest academic or medical degree and affiliations. Authorship should be limited to direct participants (technical assistance can be acknowledged as a footnote).A separate paragraph should identify where the work has done, if supported by a grant or otherwise, and the meeting, if any, at which the material was presented. List the complete name, address, telephone and Fax number, and e-mail address for the corresponding author.

Research Articles:

Abstract: A structured abstract of no more than 250

words  should  be  provided  on  a  separate  page  and should be factual, presenting (the reason for the study) Objectives, Materials & Methods, Results and Conclusion and followed by 3-5 keywords. Keywords  will  assist  indexers  in  cross  indexing  the article as they are published with abstract. Use terms from the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) list of index

medicus (http://www.nlm.nih.org.gov/mesh/MBrowser. html). Authors need to be careful that the abstract reflects

the content of the article accurately.

Text: The text of the article should have the following sequence: Introduction, Materials (or subjects) and methods, Results, Discussion, and References; it should be  followed  the  usual  format  for  scientific articles. Manuscript pages should be numbered consecutively. Avoid use of all abbreviations unless the abbreviation itself (e.g., DNA) will be more familiar to readers than the words it replaces. Only generic names of drugs should be used.

Introduction: This should be a brief review of the literature presented in the article.

This should summarize the purpose and the rationale for the study. It should neither review the subject extensively nor should it have data or conclusions of the study.

Material and Methods should be written in such a way that other investigators can duplicate them easily and in detail. This should include the exact method or observation or experiment. If an apparatus is used, its manufacturer’s name and address should be given in parenthesis. If the method is established, give reference but if the method is new, give enough information so that another author is able to perform it. If a drug is used, its generic name, dose and route of administration must be given. Statistical method must be mentioned and specify any general computer program used. The info system used should be clearly mentioned.

Results must be written in detail to allow a complete analysis. Long articles may need sub-headings within some sections (specially the results and Discussion part) to clarify their contents.

Discussion should be pertinent to the result but not too repetitive. This should emphasized the present findings and the variations or similarities with other work done in the field by other workers. The detailed data should not be repeated in the discussion again. Emphasize the new and important aspects of the study and the conclusions that follow them. It must be mentioned whether the hypothesis mentioned in the article is true, false or no conclusion can be derived.

 Acknowledgment

All contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be covered in acknowledgment section. It should include persons who provide technical help, writing assistance and departmental head who only provided general support. Financial and material support should also be acknowledged.

Interesting Case reports will be considered; they should be brief and consist of only relevant matters. Such papers must be in the following sequence: Abstract, Introduction, case report, discussion, and references.

Review articles are accepted from authoritative person with experience(about more than 10 years) in the field being presented. This section should be informative, presenting  the  most  recent  advances  and  exhaustive coverage of what could easily be found in textbooks. In the review article, the abstract does not need to be structured. The journal will only consider unsolicited review articles from authors with substantial research background in the subject.

Tables: There should be up to 6 tables, laid out as simply as possible and should not be a repetition of information already mentioned in the text. Each should be on a separate glossy sheet of paper and numbered. Do not submit tables as photograph. Place explanatory matters in footnotes, not In the heading. Tables should be numbered consecutively corresponding to in-text citation. Also each table should be prepared in MSWord on a separate page and preferably should be no longer than a single page. Include a brief descriptive title of the table. All tables must be referred to specifically in the text and numbered in order of appearance in the text.

Illustration: Photographs should be submitted in glossy prints no longer than 17 by 11 cm and name(s) of authors must be written and the top indicated on the reverse side of all illustrations in pencil. Patients should not be recognizable in the illustration unless written consent is supplied with the manuscript. Legends are to be typed double-spaced on a separate sheet of paper and the references to illustrations must be indicated in the text.

Figures: care must be given to preparation of figures, including legends and explanatory titles. Technical excellence is important. Photographs should be submitted as electronic files, saved in the. tiff or. jpg formats. Black and white or gray scale figures (photograph, image, or line drawing)are preferred and the resolution should be high quality for printing (not screen resolution). Each figure should have a minimum width of 2100 pixels (3.5 inches or 9 cm at 600 dpi). All lettering or arrows must be clear, and internal scale markers should appear on electron photomicrographs. Recognizable photographs of patients must be accompanied by written permission for publication. Written permission must be included from both the author and the publisher to reproduce any previously published illustration. Figure legends should  be  type  written  double-spaced  and  grouped on  a  separate  page,  with  numbers  corresponding  to those on the figure files themselves. All figures must be referred to specifically in the text and numbered in order of appearance in the text. Abbreviations appearing in illustrations must be identified in the legend. Graphs should be submitted as figure files and should be finished drawing, not requiring further artwork. Line drawing can be prepared as PowerPoint, MSWord, or Adobe Illustrator files without embedded images from other sources.

References: At least thirty references from journals must be cited in the text in numerically consecutive order and conform to the Index Medicus style, i.e., last name, initials, title of the paper, name of the journal, volume number, pages (first and last page numbers), and copying date.

It may not be possible for the editor and reviewers to check the accuracy of all reference citations. To minimize such errors author should verify references against the original documents.

A photocopy of the first page of each article referenced should be sent with the manuscript.

In the reference section the following guidelines must be followed:
