Journal Information

The Iranian Endodontic Journal (IEJ) is the official quarterly publication of the Iranian Association of Endodontists (IEJ) and Iranian Center for Endodontic Research (ICER). It is approved by Medical Journals Commission of the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education and indexed in Index Medicus for the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region (IMEMR), Index Copernicus, Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), Scientific Information Database (SID), Iran Medex and Magiran and Scopus and PubMed. Original research, review articles, case reports, systematic reviews, meta-analyses and hypotheses in the field of endodontics are within the scope and interest of this journal.

The articles are primarily evaluated by our statisticians and internal screeners who check the articles for any methodological flaws, format, and their compliance with the journal’s instructions. Then a submission code will be allocated and all the future contacts should be based on this code. Through a double-blind review, the articles will be reviewed by at least two external (peer) reviewers. Their comments will be passed to the authors and their responses to the comments along with the reviewers’ comments will then be evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief, and a final reviewer who can be a member of the Editorial Board. The final review process will be discussed in regular editorial board sessions and on the basis of the comments, and the journal’s scope, the Editor-in-Chief who has complete responsibility and authority to reject/accept an article will decide which articles should be published. Any complaint regarding plagiarism, falsification and fabrication, or any objection about rejection of manuscript can be directly enclosed with the Editor-in-Chief through

If any error is found after publication of articles, the journal will follow COPE’s guideline to publish a correction or to retract the article whichever is suitable.
