Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

eBrain publishes articles on the novel findings across a wide research spectrum of Neuroscience. The mission of eBrain is to help to lead relevant Neuroscience areas together to be translated into applied and clinical domains.

eBrain is composed of the following specialty sections:

Brain Imaging Methods



Visual Neuroscience

Developmental Neuroscience


System Neuroscience


The specialty sections of eBrain welcome submission of the following: Book Review, Clinical Case Study, Clinical Trial, Editorial, General Commentary, Hypothesis & Theory, Methods, Mini Review, Opinion, Original Research, Perspective, Proceeding, Review, Specialty Grand Challenge and Technology Report.

When submitting a manuscript to eBrain, authors must submit the material directly to one of the specialty sections. Manuscripts are peer reviewed by the associate and review editors of the respective specialty section.

Articles published in the specialty sections above will be subject to the eBrain Peer Reviewing system after online publication. Authors of published original research with the highest impact, as judged by the readers, will be invited by the Chief Editor to write a prestigious Invited Review. Invited Reviews are centered on the novel findings and discoveries placed into a broader context which aim to address the wider community across all of Neuroscience.

eBrain periodically publishes special issues on the topics of particular interest.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

In addition, manuscript sunmission and publication is free for all authors. eBRAIN is established on the understanding of fairness, transparency and democracy without any prejudice or presumption about scientists, their race or their nationality.
