Brief Communication and Method report

Brief Communication and Method reports are short reports of original studies. Short communications are suitable for the presentation of research that extends previously published research, including the reporting of additional controls, novel insights through novel tools and methodology or unique samples, as well as negative results. Authors must clearly acknowledge any work upon which they are building, both published and unpublished.

Case report

These manuscripts are reports of pharmacy-focused or pharmacy-related clinical cases that have educational and scientific value, describe a diagnostic or therapeutic dilemma, suggesting variations in disease processes or between diseases and symptoms, or present an important unreported or unusual adverse reaction. All case report articles should indicate that patient permission for identifiable patient description and photographs to publish was granted from the patients or their guardians.

Authors are encouraged to describe how the Case-report is focused or related to pharmacy, how rare or unusual it is, as well as its educational and/or scientific merits in the covering letter that will accompany the submission of the manuscript.
